From Brussels to Salt Lake City : A Passion for Bread
My passion for baking traces back to my childhood in Brussels, where some of my fondest memories are of making bread with my grandmother in her small, cozy apartment. That early connection to the craft only grew stronger over the years. I had the privilege of refining my skills at Wittamer, one of Brussels most renowned bakeries, where I deepened my appreciation for the artistry and precision of baking.
When I moved to the U.S., I found myself searching for bread that matched the flavors and quality I had grown up with but came up short. Determined to fill this void, I began experimenting in my own kitchen, crafting my first sourdough starter and honing my technique with every bake. Over time, I realized there was a real need for high-quality bread in Salt Lake City, and I decided to share my loaves with the community. My hope is to help normalize and celebrate good bread, one artisanal loaf at a time.
